Evelyn Marie Barker

Evelyn M. Barker, passed away peacefully October 1, 2025 surrounded by family. Evelyn was born June 27, 1936 in Hiawatha WV to the late Dathan Clark and Ada (Fitzgerald) Clark. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Evelyn was loving, kind, and had the biggest heart. She never knew a stranger and loved talking to everyone wherever she went. She loved her family and friends. Every year she looked forward to traveling back home to West Virginia for the Clark family reunion and also catching up with her Barker side of the family. She was an avid reader, mostly the author Nicholas Sparks, and her Bible. Word search puzzles were one of her favorite pastimes along with shopping, watching Hallmark movies, and going out to lunch. Occasionally lunch would be followed by an afternoon at the casino with a longtime friend.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Barker, Sr., son Donald R. Barker, Jr. and great grandson Dylan Hedges.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters Linda L Feurer (Brian) and Cheryl J. Genova; grandchildren Billy Turner (Michelle), Cheryl Turner, Amy Turner (Darrell Ivy), Aaron Barker, Angelina Genova and Elena Genova; great grandchildren Klarissa Crawford (Brandon), Blayne Pike, Madison Turner, Cody Turner, Emma Turner, and Bec Turner; great great grandchild Dean Crawford; sister Dot Lilly, brother Dathan Clark and many nieces and nephews.

Heaven has gained an angel who will be deeply missed. We love you.

A visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at White Chapel Funeral Home, located at 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO, 64119.

The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm at the same location.

The committal service is scheduled for 1:00 pm at White Chapel Memory Gardens, also located at 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO, 64119.
