A visitation will be held at White Chapel, 6600 NE Antioch Road, starting at 2 PM followed by a service at 3:30 PM.
Forrest was born on March 18, 1933, in Fort Smith, AR, the son of Forrest and Alberta Greer. He attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO, and was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, Alpha Chapter. Forrest worked for IBM Corporation, where he met RoseMarie Tornabene. They were married on April 26, 1958.
He is survived by his wife, RoseMarie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark (Barbara) and Paul (Sandra); his six grandchildren, Samantha (Jeremy), Christopher (Liz), Christina, Catherine (Ryan), Melanie (Steven), and Mark II; and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, James (Rita) Greer; several nieces and nephews.
He was a member and former trustee of Gashland Presbyterian Church and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, Boy Scouts of America. He retired from Payless Cashways Building Materials in 1996.
In retirement, Forrest volunteered as a reading tutor to children in the NKC School District and served as an election judge for the Clay County Election Board.
Forrest dearly loved his grandchildren, was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling. Forrest and RoseMarie visited every US state and also traveled internationally.
A Celebration of Life will be Sunday June 8, 2025; 3:30 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends from 2-3:30 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
