

Gary Lee Kinslow passed away on December 28, 2024 surrounded by family at his home in Kansas City, MO. He was born on February 12, 1949 in Webb City, MO to the late Rollo Troy Kinslow and Ellen Leota Jaggars Kinslow.
Gary was the devoted husband of Hong Thi Nguyen Kinslow for 32 years. He was the proud father of Linda Kinslow Aponte and Leota Kinslow Llamas. Gary was the loving grandfather and “Grumpy” to Emma, Joseph, Isabella, Manuel, Simona and Juanita. He was the great grandfather to Kamilah Lee and Koda Ray.
He was the brother of Dennis “Joe” Kinslow, Charles Kinslow, Danny Kinslow and Linda Kinslow Branum whom all preceded him in death. He was the brother-in-law to Cindy Kinslow and the proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his brothers in arms Roy Fox, Donald Atkisson, David Graham, Gary Sievers and Timmy Welliver.
Gary honorably served his country in the United States Army. His proudest accomplishment was serving his country in Vietnam as a Combat Engineer. He was the founder of the Kansas City Chapter of Vietnow, an organization committed to helping Vietnam Veterans. He enjoyed being an advocate to veterans and helping them navigate the VA medical system and making sure they received all the benefits they were entitled to. When he wasn’t helping veterans, he enjoyed spending time with his beautiful wife Hong, his daughters and grandchildren and his many family and friends.
