Gerry was born August 22nd, 1941 in Kansas City, MO to Michael J. and Nora C. Haugh. She graduated from Lillis High School in 1958. Gerry was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Agnes Haugh, Florence B. Coogan, Virginia Haake and her parents.
She is survived by one daughter, Pam (Terry) Harless; two grandchildren, Jensen (Zachary) Van Meter and Ryker Harless; and one great-grandchild Harbyn; a brother, James M. Haugh; and many other loving family and friends.
Gerry worked at AT&T in Human Resources for 20+ years. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed taking her grandchildren on adventures and cheering them on in their respective sports. She also had many passions. Grandma Gerry loved a plethora of computers games, “The Price is Right”, Mahjong Solitaire, “Jeopardy” and reading books.
Gerry was devoted to her family and was always there for those she loved. She was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and spent countless years volunteering at the church’s food pantry. She also donated regularly to many organizations. She was a very godly woman and her faith was something she held very dear. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the caring staff of Primrose Retirement Community of Kansas City for the loving care provided and the devoted staff of St. Lukes North for the end of life care.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
