Harold passed with his loving family by his side. Harold was born and raised in Kansas City Mo. Harold grew up spending time on his grandparents' farm and finding his love for sports and the outdoors. Harold attended North Kansas City High School where he excelled at both baseball and football. Harold met who would become his loving wife Cindy that senior year in 1968. Upon marrying in 1969, Harold and Cindy moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida after Harold enlisted into the United States Air force stationed at Hurlburt Field.
Harold served 4 years during the Vietnam War, and an additional 2 years in the Air Force Reserves. Upon completing his service Harold and Cindy welcomed their first son in 1972 and moved back home to Kansas City. A little over two years later they welcomed their second son and Harold began his career with Missouri Gas and Energy retiring after 39 years of service. Over the years Harold was actively involved with his two sons in both baseball and football. If you didn’t find him at the ballpark you could find him at the lake with his family. Harold loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and angler.
Harold found his true calling in 1999 when he celebrated the birth of his first grandchild. It was during this time Harold found a new outlet to pass on his love for the outdoors and sports through what would be his 4 grandchildren. He once again could be found at the ball field or the lake with his family.
Harold had a great love for his family. He would often remind us of how blessed we all were with the family we had. He spent his later years traveling with his wife Cindy, where they would hop in the truck and revisit the places they loved. Many times, with a grandchild in tow. In the end, Harold was at peace. He lived a full life, and although his time was cut short he expressed his love to each of us and reassured us that we would all see each other again in the light of our lord.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Clovetta Roberts, and his brother Johny Ray Roberts. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Cindy Roberts, 2 sons, Travis Roberts, and Chad (wife Kerry) Roberts. Four grandchildren, Maddison Muradyan, Cole Roberts, Carson Roberts, and Cooper Roberts. His brother George (wife Debbie) Roberts, his sister Tammy (husband Kelly) Miller, and brother Mark (wife Rhonda) Roberts. As well as his uncle Jay Harbour.
