She graduated from Minnetonka High School and then graduated from The University of Minnesota with a degree in Nursing. It was during her time as an orthopedic nurse that one of her patients mentioned to his brother that he needed to meet this fantastic nurse. This was fortuitous, because this brother did meet this fantastic nurse and after a year, she married her husband of 50 years, Elmer Siebke. Elmer and Peggy settled in Kanas City, MO and the couple had two children. Besides raising two rambunctious kids, Peggy was also an active member of TOPS where her fellow members kept electing her President of the chapter for over ten years. Her friends and family remember her as overwhelmingly kind, always offering a cup of coffee and fresh baked cookies to all, and always energetic (better not get in her way when she was driving her walker Lizzie). Peggy refused to let several lifelong health issues prevent her from enjoying life to the fullest, especially being with her grandchildren, Luke, Anna and Sara.
She is preceded in death by her father Harry Tuthill and mother Helen Tuthill (Johnson) of Minnetonka, MN, her sisters, Mary Lou Klumpner, Barbara Jean Rogers of Minneapolis, MN, and her brothers, Richard Tuthill of San Diego, CA, John Tuthill of Minneapolis, MN and Thomas Tuthill of Atlanta, GA.
Peggy is survived by her husband Elmer Siebke Jr., Kansas City, MO, Son Mark Siebke and Daughter in Law Jennifer Lang of Charlotte, NC and Daughter Lisa Willen, Son in Law Michael Willen and grandchildren Luke, Anna and Sara Willen of Colorado Springs, CO.
On Thursday, June 29th, a Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. with a Memorial Mass following at 3:00 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church located at 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Kansas City, MO 64118. Reception to follow funeral. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Peggy’s life.
