She was born December 3, 1924, in Oxford, Arkansas, the daughter of Gordie and Beulah (Green) Taylor.
Ina married Earl E. “Gene” Powell on August 1, 1948. They were married 60 years and had four children. Ina retired from Stuart Hall where she was a machine operator from 1969 to 1989.
She was a member of the Bread of Life Church where her son-in-law, Gary L. Protenic, pastors. Ina enjoyed gardening, canning, yardwork, her family, grandkids and watching the K.C. Royals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordie and Beulah Taylor; her husband, Gene Powell in 2009; and seven siblings.
Ina is survived by her children, LaVaughn (Gary) Protenic, Kenneth (Carol) Powell, Judy (V.J.) McHargue, and Rita Hellyer; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Peggy Ball; brother-in-law, Dene Powell; and many other family and friends who will always hold a special place in their hearts for her.
A visitation for Ina will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026; from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri, 64119. Graveside services will follow in the East Slope Cemetery, 5011 NW Gateway Avenue, Riverside, Missouri, 64150.
