

James Stanley Hoover, 68, Kansas City North, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Jim was born January 3, 1946 in Kansas City, MO. He moved with his parents from Kansas City to “north of the river” to the village of Glennaire in Clay County Missouri. There he spent many happy, care-free days riding horses and bikes, playing outside and simply just being a boy. He attended Liberty schools and graduated from high school in 1964. Jim was lovingly assisted through his adult life by many. A special thanks goes to former Clay County Public Administrator, Beverly Sue Ryan and current Public Administrator, Debbie Gwin, the staff and caregivers of Concerned Care, as well as the North Kansas City VSI staff. Their love, respect, direction, support and caring kindness of Jim showed the world how blessed he was to have his “other family.” Thank you all for being shining examples of unconditional love. Jim was proceeded in death by his loving parents, J.B. and Claudean Hoover. He is survived by two brothers, Kenny Hoover and wife Shari of Ogden, UT; Jerry Hoover and wife Jane of Platte Woods, MO; niece Amber Jordan and husband Damien of Austin, TX; nephew Zach Hoover of Ogden, UT. In Jim's memory, donations to Concerned Care, Inc., 320 Armour Road, Ste.# 101, North Kansas City, MO 64116 would be greatly appreciated by his family. A visitation is planned from 5:00-6:00p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of North Kansas City, 2100 Howell Street, North Kansas City, Missouri, followed by Memorial Services at 6:30p.m., at the church. Interment at 2:00p.m, Thursday in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Gladstone, Missouri.
