Jim was born May 22, 1949 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Albert and Doris (McQuiston) Lutz. He was a graduate of Atchison High School before serving proudly in the US Army with the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam Conflict. Jim worked for EVERGY (KCP&L) at their Iatan Power Station in Weston, Missouri as a facility mechanic before retiring after 31 years of service.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Kathy Lutz; siblings, Karen Anver, Judy (Steve) White, and Tony Lutz; children, Jennifer Lutz, Kate Martinez, Scot (Brenda) Napoletano, and Joelle (Jeff) Morris; grandchildren, Alex, Kyle, Breanna, Kayla, Jillian, Zach, Asher, Dexter, J.D., and Cassidy.
