James Edward Reynolds, 73, of Liberty Missouri passed away at home following a battle with COPD and lung cancer on June 6, 2016. Jim was born September 1, 1942 to the late Orval and Frances Reynolds. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Dalene Pisha Reynolds, brother Fred (Carol) Reynolds of Wood Heights, MO, twin sisters Diane (Ron) Holderman and Donna (Dave) Hudlemeyer, both of Liberty, MO; step-daughter Melanie Buchanan, grandsons Dillon and Richard of Roy, Utah; and many nieces and nephews. Jim grew up in Kearney, MO, attending Prairie Home Elementary and Kearney High School. Employed at GM Leeds Plant before entering the Army in 1967. Having served in Vietnam, returned to the Leeds Plant, retiring in 1981. Jim will be dearly missed by family and friends alike, as well as his faithful dog, Scuffy. One could always find Jim busy fishing and camping on the Missouri River or having a cookout for all his friends and neighbors. A couple of his many special dishes were seafood pasta and red beans and rice. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Liberty Hospital Hospice. We would like to thank Pat and Kim, Jim’s hospice nurses for their caring and loving attention given to him and his family during his illness. A casual luncheon and celebration of Jim’s life will be held Saturday, June 11th at 11:30am at Liberty Community Center “Red Room” 1600 South Withers Road, Liberty, MO.
