Jeffrey Lynn Petree

Jeff was born November 19, 1955, to Bernard and Clara Petree. The middle of three boys, Jeff grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Bishop Lillis High School, where he lettered in football and was commonly known as “Skinny”.

Jeff was a natural athlete, loving all things sports. He enjoyed attending Royals home openers with family and friends and cheering on the Chiefs. However, Jeff found his greatest pride watching his daughter, Ashley, swim in meets and cheering on his son, Brad, at his football games on the weekends. No game was too small to miss Jeff's attention and his family and friends will miss him dearly at watch parties going forward.

Jeff is survived by his brother, Daniel; children, Ashley (Brett) Cox and Brad; grandchildren, Leland and Brylee Cox; sister-in-law, Mary Petree; and numerous family members and friends left behind to cherish his memory.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Clara Petree and younger brother, Kevin Petree.

A celebration honoring Jeff's life will be held on September 16th, 2023, at Barry Road Park and Shelter (8299 N Congress Ave. Kansas City, Missouri) between 11-2, food will be provided. Please plan to dress comfortably and in accordance with the weather as we will be outside.
