John Harden Elliott, 75, of Gladstone, MO rode off on his Harley to join the Lord and his Heavenly family on Monday, June 6, 2016, after a brief but tough battle against cancer. He was surrounded, in his home, by his family and friends. John was born June 21, 1940 in McPherson, KS to Harden Boone and Gladys Ester Elliott. He graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1958. He spent many years as a mechanic for Yellow Freight and retired from there in 1996. John is survived by his soul mate and partner, Linda Blakemore, of the home; his daughter, Brenda (Scott) Perkey, granddaughter, Tasia (Justin) Green, and two great grandsons, Kaiden and Karcen Green of Cave City, AR; two sons, Kelly John Elliott and Jason Harden Elliott of Peach Tree City, GA; brother, Ernest Eugene Elliott of Ohio; two sisters, Beverly Sue Stephens and Mary Elliott; and many wonderful nieces and nephews, extended family, cousins and great friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Erma Louise Smith and Barbara Elliott; brother, Edwin (Erma Jean) Elliott; brothers-in-law, Charles Smith, Bill Stephens and Sam (Vicki) Daugherty; and sister-in-law, Dorothy (Gene) Elliott.
