John Dennis Stafford

He was born on August 24, 1954, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Louis and Mary (Morrissey) Stafford. John was raised in Manchester and was a 1973 graduate of West Delaware High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force where he served for 8 ½ years.

On October 31, 1992 John was united in marriage to Deidre Langford at Northminster Presbyterian Church of Kansas City. John worked in communications, either with the Air Force, IBM or AT&T all his life. He enjoyed wood working, and helping neighbors and friends with projects. He was known as a Jack-of-all-trades, and was willing to help anyone with anything.

John is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Mary Stafford, 2 brothers Thomas Stafford, Robert Stafford and sister, Mary Walz.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Deidre Stafford of Kansas City; 2 brothers James (Virginia) Stafford, Silver Springs, Maryland; Richard (Nancy) Stafford or Tempe, Arizona; 3 sisters, Anne Ashcraft or Port Republic, Maryland; Patricia (Johann) Helmricks of Onida, Iowa; and Jody (Keith) Diercksen of Lake Latawana, Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
