Joyce Anne (Koch) Wolverton

Joyce spent her early years in Plattsburg, moving to North Kansas City in 1943. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1949 and was also selected Owl Queen. Joyce married Richard Wolverton in 1951, and moved to Gladstone in 1957 where they remained until their passing. Joyce was a tax specialist for H&R Block from 1979 - 2013. She had a very special relationship with her only sister, Lorene Crawford, and although geographically separated, they remained close at heart.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; her parents in 1991; and her sister in 2009.

Survivors include her beloved children, Jeff (Christine) Wolverton; Randy (Marilyn) Wolverton; Jon Wolverton; Rick (Sherri) Wolverton; Julie (Monty) Goldsberry; Rob (Christi) Wolverton; Jean (Kevin) Mueller; and Rocky (Julie) Wolverton; grandchildren, Scott Wolverton, Mickey (Tricia) Wolverton, Jamie (Scott) Smith, Kari Binns, Brett Wolverton; Kelly (Jessica) Wolverton, Bethanie (Karl) Schemel, Kristen Wolverton; Matt (Jill) Wolverton, Kevin, Casey, and William Wolverton; Suzanne (Casey) Adams, Sara and Shannon Wolverton; Ann and John Goldsberry, Jessica (Uriah) Heady; Katie and Lauren Wolverton; Madeleine and Caroline Mueller; Drew, Connor, and Brooks Wolverton; great grandchildren, Luke, Andrew, and Caroline Wolverton; Liam Binns; Audrey and Ethan Wolverton; Henry and Archie Schemel; Jackson, Aidan, and Dylan Wolverton; Xoe, Emma, Casey, and Erin Wolverton; and Charlotte and Audrey Adams.
