She was born April 1, 1946, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph and Stella (Evans) Veosky.
Judy graduated from St. Pius X, with the Class of 1964 and worked for Hallmark Cards when she fell in love on a blind date. She married Dan Rouchka on June 18, 1966, and had one daughter, Pam. While they divorced in 1986, they remained friends until her passing.
She retired from Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator in 2006 where she was very proud of her perfect attendance achievement for 20+ years.
To know Judy, was to know of her avid love for Elvis Presley. She listened to his music every chance she could get, watched all Elvis movies, visited Memphis when she could and was a member of an Elvis Fan Club. Anytime she saw an Elvis impersonator, she would be on the front row, screaming and collecting scarves.
She enjoyed travelling, loved and lost many animals during her life, took pride in the flowers that she planted and grew, but her greatest joy was her granddaughters.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Stella Veosky, and her aunt, Kathryn Evans.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Pam Carr, granddaughters, Makayla Carr and Grace (Aaron) Goens and her senior dog, Lace.
The family would like to thank the many hospital staff that cared for her over the past several years including KU Medical Center, St. Luke's Hospital and NKC Hospital.
She will be laid to rest in a private service at White Chapel Funeral Home.
