Judy Lorraine White

Judy L. White passed peacefully Thursday, November 28, 2019 at 10:45 at the Kansas University Medical Center with her loved ones all around her to keep her spirits high.

Judy was born May 25, 1940 in Kansas City, MO. Although her way back home to God was sudden, we believe she had known deep down that her time was nearing. She spent the summer traveling to see all of her family for one last adventure together. She spread extra love with hugs, kisses and kind words over the last few months. That was a natural behavior for her, so we did not think twice about it.

Everyone knew that Judy was a safe place to go to regardless of their situation or the time. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, an ear to listen, or a shoulder to cry on. She had a natural healing and caring personality, so everyone she encountered was touched by her love. Judy loved spending time with her family, friends and her family at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent her Thursdays at the temple and enjoyed researching our families genealogy. Judy would have more phone calls in one day than many would have in a week. That just goes to show how influential and caring our sweet Judy was in her time here with us.

In her last few hours in the hospital, Judy wanted her family to know that this was all a mother could hope for; a family together, full of laughter and love. In honor of Judy White, continue to love each other deeply, laugh until your teeth fall out, and honor the Lord.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil & Elfie Ainsworth; and daughter, Katherine Jean White; and grandson, Christopher White.

Survivors include her son, Greg and Cindy White: Matt and Amber, Ben, Beth; son, David White: Angie; son, Scott White: David, Autumn, Sarah; daughter, Julie Racy: Amanda, Shawna, Ryan and Tara, Marissa and Joshua, Samantha; son, Charles White: Nichole White; great-grand children, Brennen, Ethan, Cayden, Maysen, Hendrix, Alayna, Charlotte, Judith, Kiara, Keegan, Raven, Alysia, Kayne, and Neves; and sisters, Joan and Marv Hutchinson, Joyce and Willie Schumacher and Karol and Roy Palmer

Judy was an example of love. She always engaged everyone in conversation- this, to me, was how she showed others that they were valued. You could always count on Judy to accomplish any tasks given to her, from serving people in the church to loving her family. It was an honor to know her. Her faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ and her LOVE for her family is what I will remember about Judy.

I've only known Judy for a short while, since I started serving in the Temple. She always brought such a pleasant, peaceful spirit. I've been serving with her in the Baptistry, learning the things I need to do. I am going to miss her. Prayers and peace to her family at this time of loss.

Judy was one of our great friends when we first moved to Kansas City. She was so kind to every one and never a negative thought to share. Loved working with her in the Temple and know she was very close to the Lord. Judy we will see you again and for now best wishes and prayers for your family.

Judy was so kind to me as a new worker in the Temple. She was so cheerful with a twinkle in her eye.
I hope she knows how much she will be missed.

Judy has been a friend for 25 years and was the best friend of my late wife Saundra Eccles. I am so sad to see that she has passed into the next life I hope Saundra was there to greet her as she passed through the veil. I know she will be missed by her Family and loved ones and those of us who knew her so well.
