I am so sorry for your loss.  Keith was such a wonderful person.  He always took time to help, visit and encourage the teachers and students.  Keith was such a hard worker who took pride in his work.  I never heard him complain even when the room might have been a little much.  Preschool is messy! Your family will be in my prayers as you move through this time of sorrow. May you receive comfort during this time.  He will truly be missed by so many people he has touched through his life!

Keith was always there with a friendly smile and helpful attitude. I worked with him at Pleasant Valley and then in the new EEC. 

I can just hear his voice saying “Courtney, what did you do?” when I would approach him with a question or idea. 

And I know he was a proud dad and grandpa. It was an honor knowing him. My deepest sympathies to his family during this time.

I've had the pleasure of knowing Keith for over 10 years working together at the Early Education Center.  He was always there for you anytime  you needed him.  Keith had the best sense of humor and making him laugh always made my day.  My favorite pass time seeing how quickly he would roll his eyes at me after I made some crazy request. He would just stop what he was doing and say "Lauren.. seriously. No."  Haha and then of course do it for me. Keith was a friend who would brighten your day and he was a friend you could confide in. He has provided me with support and kindness throughout our time working together. I will be forever grateful.  My heart goes out to his family and loved ones.

I had the pleasure of working with Keith at ECSE when we were at Pleasant Valley. He was an amazing custodian always willing to go the extra mile for the program.  He was always there to greet you with a big smile, and took time to connect with the students as well as the staff. I enjoyed our conversation which often included stories about his daughters-he was such a proud Dad.  He will definitely be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Keith at the EEC. He was always friendly and helpful. I don't think I ever heard him say an unkind word, and he was a  bright spot in many of my days at work. He made everyone he met feel seen. He always asked about everyone's family, often sharing stories that made it clear how much he loved his own. He will be missed by all. My condolences to his beloved family.

Mr. Keith, as he was known at school, would always come to my classroom during our community helpers unit and bring his big trash can for students to practice picking up trash and fast as they could. He would encourage them and was so friendly!

“servant’s heart” is beyond true! I was honored to work with him at the EEC building both PV and our new building! He was always willing to help and provide us with everything we needed and more!! He will be missed!

This breaks my heart. I worked at the Early Childhood Education Center for a couple years as one of the school nurses and Keith was one of a kind. I remember him being kind, funny and such a true person who brought joy to all those around him especially the kids. He was so loved by so many and I am so glad I got to know him.

Keith certainly was one of a kind. A gentle amazing person to work with, and his absence will forever be felt here at NKC schools. I never knew of a moment where I did not have a positive interaction with Keith. My heart is broken and my deepest condolences to his wife,  family and close friends. Rest In Peace my friend, thank you for all the memories and hard work you have to NKC schools and for the kind conversations!

Keith. I’m without words. The impact he made at our workplace is incredible. From the daily connections he made with everybody to the above and beyond mentality he brought to his work. I could always go to him with my ideas and he would do what he could to help out, whether it was hanging a new shelf or rearranging my office (again). He would help with a smile and a fake grumpy attitude. 

I still remember a highlight of a student’s life when Keith lended his voice to this kid’s AAC device to say “I’m mad.” It literally made this kid’s day and helped turn his attitude around!

I’m so sad I’ll never hear “Hey trouble” when I’m walking down the hallways. I’ll miss you Keith!!

Keith was such a blessing to me when I was a principal at EEC. He took pride in the building and in his relationships with students and staff. His snake-wrangling skills saved me from  my nightmares and he always took great care of me, pulling my car under the awning to remove snow and ice. He loved talking about his family and hearing about everyone else’s. His heart for people was huge and he wanted to do his best for them. Love to his family. - Jen Beutel
