

She was a loving mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend to many. Loretta was born on August 19, 1938 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Ernest and Anna Marie Austin. Loretta married the love of her life Donald J Lock on February 19, 1977. Loretta had a wide variety of jobs during her lifetime such as a real estate agent, makeup store owner, an auctioneer, furniture salesperson, RV park owner/manager, and recruiter. During her previous marriage, the couple had 3 children Robert, Fritz, and Kristi. Her children remember her as a supportive and compassionate mother who encouraged them to pursue their dreams. She was a fiery individual who loved living and experiencing all life had to offer. She was passionate about always trying new things. She was always busy clowning around with her grandchildren, playing a variety of games, and enjoying time with her family at the Lake of the Ozarks. She was an active and dedicated member of the clown alley, New Comers Old Timers, competitive bridge team, and often volunteered for several organizations throughout her lifetime.
She is preceded in death by mother and father, Ernest and Anna Marie Austin; step father Melvin Miller, siblings, Pansy Eckert, Wayne Austin, and Ernie Austin.
Loretta is survived by her; husband, Don Lock; children, Robert Wicks, Fritz Wicks, and Kristi “Wicks” Timmermeyer; nieces, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
The Visitation and Funeral is scheduled for Thursday January 26th at Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO, 64119 with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Loretta's life.
