

Lori was born on April 3rd, 1963 in Maryville, Missouri, the daughter of Joyce Harris and Leslie (Linda) Reed. She graduated in 1981 from Winnetonka High School. Her first ever job was at Long John Silvers in North Kansas City. Lori then chose a career working in banks. She worked at UMB for many years before moving to a different bank close to home, and loved the different job titles she earned along the way. She took pride in her job and loved what she did.
Lori was a dedicated Christian, a devoted mother to her two daughters, and a beloved “Mamaw” to her grandchildren. She loved her family fiercely and cherished every moment spent with them. Lori enjoyed listening to country music - especially Garth Brooks. She enjoyed playing cards, watching Kansas City sports, and spoiling her grandchildren. Even though she was wasn’t a big cook, she has a signature dish that everyone loved - “Tator Tot Hot Dish”. She was known for her quick wit, her big heart, and her love of polar bears.
She is survived by her two daughters, Amanda (David) Williams, and Kristal (Lindsey) Reed; father, Leslie Reed; her brother, Steven Reed; her two sisters, Diana Reed Silvers, and Tisha Davis; her brother Jimmy (Angela) Davis; Ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lori was also “mom” to Stephanie (Nicole) Gillis, as well as several others throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Harris; her mother, Linda Reed; and her brother, Blaine Reed.
The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, on June 1, 2023, at White Chapel Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM.
