Louise Charlotte Jenkins

Louise was born on September 12, 1921 in Chicago, IL, the first of four daughters to Arthur John and Ida Elsa (Wenzel) Gilbert.

Louise is survived by her four sons, Ronald Jenkins and his wife Karla, Arthur “Nick” Jenkins and his wife, Carol, Kenneth Jenkins and his wife, Carole Jo, and Gary Jenkins and his wife, Sheila; a granddaughter that she raised as her only daughter, Christina Smith and her husband, Richard; one sister, Ellaine Chaney and her husband, Archie; and 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ida; her husband, Roy; two sisters, Ethel “Eppie” Coffman and Thelma Barnes; and one grandson, Allen Jenkins.

Louise was a devout Christian and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She always credited her faith in the Lord for her longevity.

Louise loved her family, enjoyed spending time with them, and opened her home to any family member in need. She also loved flowers, fishing, travel and spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks, with family.

Louise was a wonderful Christian woman who will be dearly missed.
