

Born on July 3, 1981, in Kansas City, Missouri, Luke was the beloved son of Helen and Ray Boylan and the younger brother to his sister, Kim. Luke spent his formative years in Liberty, Missouri, where he developed a passion for football at Liberty High School, proudly representing the Bluejays. He graduated in 2000 and pursued higher education at the University of Central Missouri, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. His academic journey continued at Tulsa Welding School, where he graduated at the top of his class. In 2013, Luke embarked on a fulfilling career with KCP&L, becoming a valued member of IBEW Local 412, following in his father's footsteps. His dedication and expertise led him to the role of Operator Trainer on Unit 2 at Iatan. Luke's commitment to his colleagues was evident through his service on the Union E-board and as a union steward. His community involvement extended to the Masons, where he achieved the rank of Master Mason. Luke's passion for fitness was evident in his enthusiasm for CrossFit, where he became a certified trainer and obtained his certification in gymnastics. In the fall of 2014, Luke met the love of his life, Jennifer O'Bryan.
They married in the fall of 2016 and welcomed their daughter, Jude Dean, in July 2018. Luke's legacy is one of love, dedication, and community. His greatest joy was his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
Luke is survived by his Wife Jennifer Boylan, Daughter Jude Boylan, Father Ray Boylan, and Sister Kim Farris (Dan) and daughter Norah.
Celebration of life will be held Monday, December 2, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Newcomers White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119
