Mary Ellen Carter, 65, of Kansas City, MO, passed away September 22, 2014. Funeral service will be 10am, Friday, September 26, 2014, at White Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8pm, Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the funeral home. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and son, Thomas C. Minnis. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, James “Jim” Carter, of the home; 5 children, Mary D. Hynson, Gary Minnis (Rachel), Michael Evanoff (Sondra), Gregory A Evanoff (Rita) and Kathryn E. Loree (Christopher); 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Nora Becker (Wilbur), Virginia Cox (Larry) and Teresa Henderson (Clifford); and many relatives and friends.
