

She was born in Minco, Oklahoma on November 3, 1938, the daughter of Herman Allen and Letha Marie (Fry) Sage. Mary grew up on a farm in Minco and attended Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in May 1960. She then taught school until she enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1962. Mary served 14 years and was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain in 1974. She then pursued a Master's Degree in Library Science and a career as a librarian at the Sapulpa Public Library in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She worked there for 31 years and then retired and moved to Liberty, Missouri to be closer to her sister and other family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Pansy Bush; one brother-in-law, Floyd Bush; one niece, Sharon Molzen; one nephew, Floyd J. Bush.
Mary was a volunteer at the public library, the Earnest Shepherd Center and was and active participant at the Liberty Community Center for many years. Mary loved dogs, cats and horses and enjoyed owning and training her animals throughout her life.
A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, February 10, 2025 at 4:00 PM, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, Missouri 64119, followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:00 PM.
