

Nancy Rose Galate, 76, passed away on February 11, 2026. Nancy was born on March 25, 1949, in Kansas City, MO, the first-born to Joseph and Maria Galate. She graduated from Glennon High School and achieved a level of Junior College. She began working for TWA Airlines, continuing when it became American Airlines, retiring after decades of service.
Nancy was known in her family for her award-winning pie crust skills. She was an excellent bowler in her day, having once competed on the local “Bowling For Dollars” program in the 1970s on Channel 9. She was excellent at sewing and crafts with a needle, from making clothes to various other sewing projects from a pattern or her own design. She was a Christian and had a firm belief in her faith in the Lord.
Nancy is preceded in death by her father and mother, Joseph Galate and Maria (Rott) Galate.
Nancy is survived by five sisters and two brothers.
In addition to your prayers but in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to a charity of your choice.
Heartfelt gratitude to the staff and Nancy’s team members at McCrite Plaza at Briarcliffe for providing a compassionate and caring environment during her stay and to Nancy’s care team at Kansas City Hospice for stepping into the twilight of her life, providing comfort and care as needed during her transitional time.
A special thank you to Cousin Theresa for her devoted phone companionship and prayers with Nancy.
