Miss Natasha Monique Porter

Tasha was born on February 19, 1979 to the loving union of her daddy and mommy, Robert & Mary Porter. Tasha was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bishop Albert D. Porter & Mother Jennie Lee Porter; maternal grandparents, William Bryant, Sr., Henry Buie, Jr. & Elcena Buie; uncles, Charles Galloway and Ron Porter; and one nephew, Mark Jackson, Jr. Tasha graduated from Liberty High School in 1997 and attended Devry Institute for Computer Programming and Johnson County Community College for Graphic Design. The Lord was first in Tasha’s life, with whom she had a personal relationship. Tasha loved spending her free time learning new things, drawing & writing poetry. She shared her love of technology with her daddy, beginning at the age of 3. Tasha was a loving mother to her fur baby, Storm, and an amazing God Mother to Lakeyana, Dashawn and Somiah Guthridge. She was a dedicated employee to KCP&L for over 8 years and a motivated employee of Orbital ATK, where she worked until the very end. Family and friends meant the world to her. Tasha was the apple of her father’s eye, her mother’s heartbeat and Baby Sister to her siblings. Tasha leaves to cherish her precious memories her parents, Robert and Mary Porter; her fur baby & buddy Storm Porter; her siblings, Kimberly Carter, Lisa Gross, Robert Moris & Nakia Casey. Her God children, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, one great niece/nephew and a host of cousins and close friends. Tasha will be remembered for her loving spirit, beautiful smile and of course that sweet, innocent voice. Angel of God my guardian, dear to whom God’s love commits me here. Ever this day be at my side to light and guard, rule and guide.
