Pat was born on October 25, 1939 to Mary Ellen and William Lovsky in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Bishop Hogan High School, class of 1956, where she met the love of her life, John "Jack" Mahan. Pat and Jack were happily married at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Kansas City, Missouri in 1959, and the two celebrated 66 years of marriage last July.
Pat was a devout Roman Catholic who prayed the rosary daily, and regularly encouraged her family to pray. She dedicated her life to serving her family. She will be remembered for her powerful prayers, her generosity, whistling daily as she worked, and for her love of cooking for family gatherings- especially her cherished chocolate chip cookies. Pat was unquestionably a devoted wife and mother, but her favorite title was Grandma, and she was fondly referred to as Grandma by just about everyone. She loved her family deeply and took great pride in her family.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Lovsky, her older sister Rita Frank, and younger sister Carol Thomas Froeschler. She leaves behind her beloved husband Jack, and four children John (Patty), Jim(Cheryl Luther), Mike (Megan), Mary Riley (John), as well as her daughter-in-law Marie Mahan, and nine grandchildren Sarah Dougherty (Patrick), Jim Mahan (Emily), Ryan Mahan, Jennifer Mahan (Brad Denning), Bryan Rollo (Beth), Angela Hazlett (Dillon), Andrew Mahan (KC), Joshua Mahan (Rachael), Ian Mahan, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
