Patrick Wayne Barr

Patrick Wayne Barr, 55, passed away on March 18, 2025, at the North Kansas City Hospital. He was born on July 26, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, to loving parents Barry and Linda Barr. His life was marked by a giving spirit and a profound love for his family and friends.

Despite being born with multiple birth defects, Pat never let his circumstances define him. He was known for his determination and his ability to bring joy to those around him. Through his career he acquired new connections and friendships.

Family was central to Patrick’s life. He was especially close to his younger sister Holly and her two boys. The neighborhood crew that Patrick grew up with also became his life-long extended family.

Patrick had a distinctive ability to connect with others, and he often extended his kindness to not only family but also his friends, helping them in any way he could.

Pat enjoyed watching wrestling, NASCAR and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Even more so he loved going on family vacations and road trips. One of his dreams was to see the ocean, a dream that his family made a reality, creating lasting memories that they will hold in their hearts forever.

Patrick is survived by his parents, Barry and Linda Barr, sister, Tammy (Rick) Stein, and brother, Stacy (Tina) Barr along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Patrick was preceded in death by his little sister, Holly Ann Barr; as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents; cousin, Philip Waton; and aunt, Anita Waton. The loss of both Holly and Patrick is an immense sorrow for the family; they were always looking out for one another, a bond that remains unbroken even in their absence.

A private family memorial service will be held to honor Patrick's life, and we ask for prayers for his family as they navigate through this difficult time.
