Beloved Kansas City dancer, singer and entertainer Paula Marie (Tyrrell) Daub passed away January 17, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family after a 14-month battle against pancreatic cancer.
During her entertainment career, Paula was a competitor, performer and instructor of swing, ballroom, and classic belly dancing, teaching privately, at William Jewell College as well as Walter's Dance Center and more.
An entrepreneur, Paula owned and operated Paula Marie’s Singing Telegrams. Paula co-founded Culture Through Ballroom Dance, a non-profit with free ballroom dance instruction to children, teaching respect through dance culture and etiquette while building self-confidence.
An avid sports fan, Paula was a regular on KC local sports talk radio, giving her insights on the Kansas City Royals baseball and Chiefs football situations. There is not enough time to go into all the different aspects of her life but... those who knew her loved her dearly and she will be missed!
Paula Marie was born in Green Bay, WI to Paul and Thelma (Blackwell) Tyrrell. She is survived by sons Milo Daub, James Stark, Timothy Stark and wife Peggy Stark, grandchildren Chase and Sharon Stark as well as her siblings Barbara Ganz, David Tyrrell, Kathy Houchins and Pamela Tyrrell.
A Celebration of the Life of Paula Marie Daub will be held on February 10, 2024. The funeral mass will be at 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (located at 6415 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119), followed by visitation from 12 - 4 PM at White Chapel (at 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119). In lieu of flowers, an appreciation box will be present at White Chapel.
