It’s been five years and I never wrote on this. I was going through a lot with your graduation from this life to your eternal life. I know you are not physically here but your spirit is all around me!!! Anytime a I see a motorcycle or a cardinal or even a talk of fishing (aka my son) I just know you are with me through this life. I had a lot of changes that have happened in the last year and before the year is up more changes are going to happen. I’m glad I went to see you today and talked a while and hope good things are to come for all the family. Hope you are having a good time chasing Kane around. Love you dad and know you are with us!!!

Hey Dad, it’s hard to believe that it’s been 3 years already. So much has happened since then! I sure do miss you! There isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not thinking about you and the impact you had. I can only hope that I am able to be as calm as you were with just about everything.

Hi honey it’s me again. I hope you have no pain anymore. I look around here and I know you are here, you loved this place. I know you’re fur babies see you they loved you so much. The holidays are coming, I remember the little Christmas tree you got for us. You dear Perry will always be our heart we love you and miss you!

Happy Heavenly Birthday a few days past 11/11!! Allen and his family and I celebrated it at Coco cay on the beach.  Since it was Veterans Day, they sounded the shop horns at 3:11 pm. Think of you often!

Happy Birthday Perry!  I was buying Christmas gifts last weekend and pulled up a list from a couple years ago on my phone... there you were right near the top!  We’re having Thanksgiving at Christine and Donny’s and Christine told me she has a picture of you and I, at her dinning room table from a couple of years ago, when she invited you to join us.... I think of you often.... I know you’re still here in spirt, I can tell.... I know the boys and grandkids miss you, as do I.  I pray for piece in our hearts all the time. It has been over a year and i think of you often, Sadie and Betty lou still go to the bedroom to see their dad before they go to bed. Your fur babies still miss you as i do. We should be happy for you because you have no pain you are strong and happy now . There are times i yell at you for leaving us . Then i think of your pain and know that was no life. Well it has been almost a year and it still seems like yesterday you went to sit by god. I remember so much about you , i remember when we lost our fur babies , you acted so strong for me when bobby left, then mister kayne, then cat cat . I knew you hurt i seen the sad in your eyes . Well kila has joined them and knowing you you are playing with all of them. You so loved the babies , iam taking care of the rest i know they miss you. As i miss you

Hey Dad, me again! I remember when we used to go camping all the time. You were so good at camping and it made me want to be a Boy Scout (which I ended up with my Eagle Scout 😊) . One time in particular, I was maybe in 2nd or 3rd grade and we went to the shower house for you to take a shower. You told Anthony and I that we should really take one too, that it would make us feel better. We ended up taking one with a little more persuasion but I tell ya, we really did feel better. Just another example of how encouraging, caring, loving, and nurturing you really were. Thank you Dad! Love you!

Hey Dad, just wanted to share some more. I remember when we were at Pete’s first wedding and we had on those super shiny gray-silver tuxes. It was all fine and good until the reception when you let Anthony use the camera and not me. Well out came the pouty Allen. I went outside by the dumpster holding my balloon with my head down pouting. You then took a picture of me and told me that I’d see the picture when I got older and laugh about it. I’m glad you took that picture, it’s quite hilarious because I used to pout all the time and that is the only picture I’ve found. Love you so much Dad!

Dad, I have so many memories of you so I’ll have to make a bunch of these! I remember when Anthony and I were little and you were working out, doing deadlifts. Anthony and I wanted to try so you let us. Anthony got it a little ways off the ground, and I couldn’t lift it for anything. Then later I got really mad at Anthony and you told me, “Well I bet you can lift it now!” Which surprisingly calmed me down and we had a great time afterwards. I will miss you so much Dad! I love you so much!

Dear Perry,
A flood of emotions and memories have been swirling around in my head and in my heart.  You were my protector and my teacher when we were young. I learned so much from you. I’ve been recalling many things about our past.. some sweet and some not so much, but the truth is, I always loved you and always still cared.  Today I had a banana split... something I never eat any more, but I was reminded of our “upside down” banana splits from the Dariette in Fort Dodge, way back when (1980)!  I can see you skating now, doing the splits and spinning! You were so talented and strong! My prayer is that you are at peace, happy and in no pain. Rest well. Love Leslie

I remember the day we met.  You, Wanda, and I were sitting at the kitchen table getting ready to eat dinner.  You sat at the head of the table to my left.  Wanda sat to my right at the end of the table.  I  noticed a table setting to my right with nobody sitting there.  I  asked if we were waiting for someone to come.  Perry,  you calmly remarked" that's where our daughter Kathy sits." My confusion was short lived. The chair was pulled out and up hopped Kathy,  their 4 legged daughter!  We all laughed at my amazement,  for a dog that had better table manners than most human's!  
Perry, I  will miss you immensely.

 Perry you have been in my life for almost 40 years. It is so hard to say goodbye to you.  I just can’t comprehend that we will never see you again it is just to  overwhelming to accept.  My heart just aches for Anthony Allen Leslie and Wanda I wish their pain would go away .  You will always be in my heart and in my memories I love you so much Perry. I hope you are watching over all of us and rollerskating in Heaven.

Perry the first time I met you I was so scared but then after I found out you knew my two cousins Kenny and Keith things got easier we talked the whole weekend I found out that you lived and the apartment above me in Webster City. When it came to you I could be in such a bad mood and you could always get me laughing almost crying of your jokes and put me and a good mood. You and Pat playing Cheech and Chong for 19 years I called you my pearbear. I will miss and always love you until we meet again keep Angel and Chloe and lucky playing love you pear bear


Our Mom's spent a lot of time together when we were young.
One day when you were over, we were having lemonade, lays wavy chips and French onion dip. We were sitting at the table and we were always trying to make things last as long as possible. So we were very conservative with how much dip we would put on each chip,(like just scaping the top). Perry comes in, grabs a chip and loads it up with dip and gives this memorable quip." it's chip DIP not chip Scrape!" We always seemed to laugh when we saw each other.
Say hi to our parents, and I am sure your mom & dad are glad to see you. Peace.

Uncle Perry, I love and miss you dearly. I will never forget you.  Keep an eye out on all of us. It's to bad you didn't get a chance to meet Jaxson. The only photo I can find of us is posted with this post when I was a teenager. Until we meet again, Rest peacefully and love you.
