Richard H. "Dick" Johnson, 96, of Gladstone, MO, formally of LaCrosse, WI and Frankfurt, IL, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Dick was born in Lacrosse, WI on May 23, 1920 to Alvin and Emma (Zielke) Johnson. Dick was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army. He then went to work for Allis Chalmers where he retired in 1986. Dick was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Grace; his daughter, Sharon; his twin brother, Robert; and his sister, Carol. Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Duesterbeck and Ellen (Gary) Schlicht; son-in-law, Randy Simonaitis; 6 grandkids, Lauren (Chris) Trino, Genelle (Ryan) Graman, Jennifer Schlicht, Adam (Candice) Schlicht, Anne Marie Duesterbeck and Geoff (Suzanne) Duesterbeck; 8 great grand-children; 2 nieces, and a nephew; and many friends and acquaintances. Military honors will be 12:30 PM, Monday, November 7, 2016 at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
