In the middle of the suburbs of Gladstone, MO he grew the most amazing and fruitful garden every year. Robert proudly served in the United States Army during World War II at Pearl Harbor. He was rarely seen in recent years without his veteran’s cap on his head. During his early years as a Gladstone resident, he was the Assistant Chief of the Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Gladstone Jaycees. Some may remember him as the owner of Paul’s TV, which he owned and ran for 40 years until diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Edwards and is survived by his three daughters, Marie Farrar, Sue Watson, and Melissa Swink along with eight granddaughters and several great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Crossroads Hospice in Kansas City Missouri.
