
Robert J. Hain, 52, who resided in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at the Saint Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, MO on August 2, 2016 following a lengthy fight with cancer. Robert was born September 2, 1963, in Muscatine, the son of Harold and Betty Hain. He graduated from Wapello High School in 1982. Robert enlisted in the US Army and served from 1982—1985 as an Aircraft Weapons Technician. During his time with the military, he was stationed in Hawaii within the 25th Infantry Division. He was presently employed at the Plastic Packaging Incorporated Kansas City, Kansas facility in their maintenance division. Robert loved to hunt, fix cars and most of all assist others who were in need. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Nancy Edmisson and husband, Jack, of Danville, Iowa; Tom Hain and wife, Ursula of Haltom City, Texas; Julie Scholle and husband, Kurt, of Lisle, Illinois; and his nieces and nephews, Melissa and husband, Brian; Noah, Matthew, Austin, Alec, Stephanie, Jasmine and Joe. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the D.W. Newcomer’s Sons White Chapel, Gladstone, Missouri at 4:00pm and on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wapello, Iowa at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
