

He was born June 26, 1930, in Spokane, Washington, the son of Harry Adolf and Daisy Pearl (Guisinger) Karther.
Robert married Erma Hensley on May 10, 1951, in Van Buren, Arkansas. They married early in the day, then Erma graduated from High School that evening, and the next day he left for the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict. He received two Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Daisy Karther; one son, Ronald Gene Karther; one sister, Florence Downs; two brothers, Darrell Karther and Paul Karther.
Robert is survived by his wife of 72 years, Erma Karther, of the home; two children, Francie (Greg) O’Rear of Belton, Missouri; Don (Anna) Karther of Parkville, Missouri; eleven grandchildren, Roben, Danny, Neil, Joshua, Shaun, Christina, Alex, Damon, Dariann, Devin and Daniel; 23 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends; one sister, Cathleen Goodwin; one brother, Floyd Karther; and daughter-in-law, Susan Karther of Edmond, Oklahoma.
A Military Graveside Service for Robert will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, Missouri, 64119.
