

Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of all who knew her. Born and raised in Stanberry, she was the beloved daughter of Glenn and Blanche Hatheway, who preceded her in death. She carried their memory with her throughout her life.
Bonnie was married to the love of her life, Loyd Adwell, for 67 wonderful years. Together, they built a life full of love, faith, and family. She is survived by her husband Loyd, daughters Trudy, Laurie (husband Mike Moore), and Michelle (husband Steve Gercone). Bonnie was a proud grandmother to Aaron Lanning (wife Brandi), Emily Smith, and Dillon Gercone (wife Mackenzie). She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Rylee, Gunner, LJ, and Lane Eldon, all of whom brought her immense joy.
For over 60 years, Bonnie was an active and cherished member of McMurry United Methodist Church. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her in everything she did. She found great fulfillment in her church community and the friendships she cultivated there.
Bonnie had a special talent for bringing people together. Her home was always open, filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious smell of meals cooked with love. She was known for her love of entertaining and the joy she took in making every gathering special. Her family will forever remember the times she spent playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, always making them feel loved and valued.
Bonnie's legacy is one of love, kindness, and devotion. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at McMurry United Methodist Church on September 14th, with visitation beginning at 10 AM, Celebration of Life at 11AM, Service at the Columbarium, with refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in Bonnie’s name to McMurry United Methodist Church.
