Russell L. Fiest

Russ was born to the late Harry and Mabel Fiest on May 28, 1931 on their farm near Junction City KS. He married Jeanette Prather on July 31, 1954 and together they raised four children.

Russ was a graduate of Rockhurst University and worked as an accountant until his retirement in 1998. After retirement they were able to travel in their motor home, attend family camping weekends and escape the cold as “Winter Texans” in the Rio Grande Valley. He was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Russell is survived by his children, Ronald Fiest, his wife Phronsie and their sons Kyle and Joel; Vicki Reagan, her husband Jon and sons Jeremy and Scott Geeo; Jeffrey Fiest, his wife Brenda and their sons Alec and Ethan; Brian Fiest, his wife Dottie and a daughter Tena Marie; sister-in-law Beverly Parra, brother-in-law Paul Slusser and three great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Saturday, September 21, 2019. Rosary 9:45, Visitation 10:00 – 11:00 and the funeral service at 11:00. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, immediately following the funeral service.
