Sallie was a dear friend of my mother's and I got to know her through Bethel United Church of Christ.  Sallie and my mother, Vanita Ely line-danced together and had many good times through their church.  Sallie was one of the last people to visit my Mom before she passed almost 5 years ago.  I remember asking Sallie how she kept up with all she did for the church and caring for her dear husband, Ernie.  She looked at me and replied, "many people ask me that and I just tell them, how could I not?  Ernie is the love of my life!"  They are now together again and I know she's wearing her beautiful smile.  Rest well dear Sallie  - you were one special lady.
