

Sandra Sue Jones was born to Donald and Lucille Middelton on August 19, 1938, in Bolckow Missouri. She was born in her grandmother’s house where she lived for several years. The family moved to Albany Missouri and then to South Kansas City Missouri. They moved to Northern Kansas City when she was in her sophomore year at Central High school. She graduated from North Kansas City high school in 1956. After graduation she began working at the Federal Reserve.
She met her future husband Dale after being told to check out the dishy hairdresser after he opened a new salon. They were married on June 14, 1958. They proceeded to have two daughters in the next 3 years. She was their room mother, Girl Scout leader, and loved working in the library at Lakewood Elementary.
Sandra and Dale loved to antique spending weekends going to auctions, shops and sales; this love lead to the opening of their shop, The Town Gallery, which she ran, while he worked in the adjacent hair salon. She collected glassware, particularly Ruby Red, Fenton and Zipper Patterns. She inherited her Aunt Maxes Hummel collection to add to her own.
She was a loving mother, to LeslieAnn R MacRae, and Linda Sue Manglos (Stephen); grandmother to Rachael, Shawn, Kailey, Tiffany, Randy and Averie; and GG to Tempest, Brantley, Lillyan, Grahm, ZinaLynn, Araellen, and Barrett; sisters, Barbara Brand and Laura Rea. A preceded husband of 56 years Dale Warren Jones and her son in law Patrick Chambers.
Services were at the Newcomers Chapel on December 29th. She will join Dale is the special bench they had installed next to her parents.
