Steven was born in Fairfield District Hospital and lived in Canley Heights, a suburb of Sydney, for the first 5 years of his life. He then moved up the North Coast to a small community in Gwandalan. Steven's home was surrounded by undisturbed bush, Lake Macquarie, and the Pacific Ocean. Here he went to the Lakes Anglican Grammar School where his favorite things included football, horse riding, and learning to play guitar. Steven was a member of the Little Nippers Surf Club, The Local Boy Scouts, and the Local Community Club. Steven also enjoyed Bushwalking, trail bike riding, fishing, boating, and tip shopping.
When Steve was 17, he moved with his mum to the US and settled in Gladstone, Missouri. Here he made several new friends and started his new life. Steve worked as a warehouse engineer and in 2009 he bought a house in Kansas City North. His best friend Jason and several of his mates spent many hours tinkering on anything with an engine. He also enjoyed movies, electric music, camping, guns, and watching the local wildlife that would either take up residence on his property or were just passing through.
Just recently much to our delight, Steve married his girlfriend of 4 years, Rachel. Steven had a mind of his own, a wicked sense of humor, and a kind heart, he could always be relied upon when things got tough.
Steven is survived by his wife, mother, stepfather, sister, brother, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Steven was very loved by many and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
If Tears could build a stairway
And Memories a lane
I'd walk right up to Heaven
And Bring him home again...
