Talhou Ann Graff Wilcox

Talhou was the beloved wife of the late Harold “Bud” Wilcox for 67 years. She was the loving mother of daughters, Yvonne Miller (Jesse), Lea Ann Baxley, Susan Arnone (John), Julie Rupp (Craig), and the late Reyne Boyd. She was proud of her 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild. Talhou was the sister of James Graff, the late Bud Graff, and Bonita Davis. She will also be missed by her loyal cat, Buddy.

Talhou was an avid flower gardener, bird watcher, and protector of stray cats. She was very active with the Ladies Auxiliary for the Military Order of the Purple Heart of Kansas City and, with her husband, Harold, travelled the country to attend ceremonies honoring veterans and especially the Marine Corps Raiders. Her talents crossed the spectrum from creating beautiful paintings, being an amazing seamstress, cooking most everything from scratch (including her famous cinnamon rolls as the “dessert lady” at Oak Park High School for a brief time), catching crappie to her heart’s delight, and singing. There wasn’t a slot machine she didn’t like. Talhou loved everyone she met and was as generous as they came. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Gladstone, Missouri. While we will miss her deeply, we are so happy for her reunion with the love of her life, Harold, whom she has longed for since his passing in 2016.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation on Saturday February 22, 2025 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd., Gladstone, MO 64119. A Rosary and Memorial Mass will take place at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church and School, 6415 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119, beginning at 11:00 AM.
