

Born in Smithville, MO, on October 26, 1966, Tina Michelle McCollough lived in the Northland her entire life. She passed away on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026. Graduating from Oak Park High School in 1985, Michelle spent her college days at Central Missouri State University, in Warrensburg, MO, studying for a double major in Public Relations/Mass Communications and Journalism.
Michelle made a career of working in the Financial and Legal industries, she held various senior management and officer positions for a total of 38 years. She worked for prominent firms such as Commerce Bank, Lockton Companies, and Citibank before moving into legal accountant management 16 years ago. These roles provided her with a wealth of education and experience in finance, budgeting, negotiations, dispute resolution, and customer service. Along with these roles, Michelle also spent 15 years serving as Ticket Booth and Cash Office Manager for Full Moon Productions, KC’s nationally renowned haunted houses. Recently, Michelle was voted to the board of North Brighton Townhomes, her residential community of 10 years.
Michelle was the epitome of a “people person”, mastering the ability to remain approachable, able to converse, entertain, laugh, and break down any walls to “connect” with all. She believed in finding common ground, building solid and functional relationships, and making decisions with honesty, integrity, and fairness.
Michelle was preceded in death by her grandfather, Elton Ray Rice, grandmother, Laura Goldine Rice, and uncles, Larry Ray Rice and Robert Rice. She is survived by her mom, Nancy Rice McCollough; aunt, Joahn Rice; cousins, Travis Rice, Bret Rice, and Marlin Rice. She is also survived by a multitude of friends, co-workers, and people that will love and miss her.
Services are will be at Newcomers White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026. Visitation at 10:00 am, and funeral service following at 11:00 am.
