He was born in Creston, Iowa on April 24, 1921 the son of Thomas and Irene (Phillips) Jones. When you met Jiggs, his childhood nickname, it didn’t take long to learn he was a character. Warren was a WWII Navy veteran who later worked in the electrical industry for many years. He enjoyed dancing with his wife of 73 years, Lilian, and when he was younger, fishing and tinkering in the garage. His grief at her death is now passed, as they’re reunited dancing in heaven again. Even at 98 years of age, his jokes, quick wit and engaging smile brought laughter to many. Friends and family will miss his million watt smile.
