William O. “Bill” Sewell, 91, of Gladstone, MO passed away January 21, 2016. Bill was born June 29, 1924 in LaPlata, MO to the late Olon and Bess Sewell. Bill was a Gladstone, MO resident for 53 years and lived the last year at Our Lady of Mercy County Home Liberty, MO. Bill was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army; Retired from TWA after 30years and a lifelong member of the First Christian Church. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary Ann and a sister Louise Young. Survivors include children Mary (Gary) Hill, Marsha (Gary) Henderson and Mark (Jan) Sewell; grandchildren Ryan (Cari) Sewell and Kyle (Brian) Burgdorf and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00pm Monday White Chapel Funeral Home, Gladstone, MO. Private family graveside service White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial gifts to Kansas City Hospice House.
