William “Bill” Driscoll, a proud veteran and devoted family man, passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in 1944 in California and raised in Colorado, Bill carried a lifelong love for Colorado and its people.
From 1966 to 1967, Bill served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a door gunner on the H1 Huey helicopter. His service reflected his deep sense of duty, a pride he carried throughout his life. He remained an active member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the American Legion, where he forged lifelong friendships, supported fellow veterans, and even served as Post Commander of the VFW.
Bill shared 35 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sue Ann, until her passing in 2004. Together, they built a life filled with love, community, and countless memories. A lifelong Denver Broncos fan, Bill’s passion for his team was well known and often shared with friends and family, whether gathered around the television or celebrating at local events.
Dedicated to serving others, Bill made lasting contributions to the veteran community. He worked tirelessly to support those who served beside him, offering friendship, advocacy, and care. His unwavering commitment to both his country and his fellow veterans left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Bill is survived by his children, Shawn Driscoll and Shelia Davis (and son-in-law Troy), as well as his cherished grandchildren, Tristan, Shelby, and Tate. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the veteran community he so faithfully supported.
