Allene (Rose) Thomas

Allene Rose Thomas decided it was time to go to Heaven this past Wednesday, June 29th 2022. Born on March 22nd 1928, she lived an adventurous 94 years. I always love to brag about my 5’6” spunky Grandma who wore her pearls, fancy blouses, heels and painted nails as she drove her semi across the U.S.. Everyone at the truckstops greeted her as Mrs. Thomas and they adored her. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help anybody. Her home was always open and she was always willing to love one more child. A day didn’t go by that she wasn’t bragging about her children, grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren. She thought we all hung the stars . We are all so lucky to have been loved by Grandma. She is survived by her children Joyce Hempleman, Jay Thomas, Danny Thomas, Cheryl Green, Linda Thomas-Brewster, Tommy Jo Thomas, and Jill Shamlin and Ricky Bisor the adopted neighbor. Her grandchildren Wendy Cardelli, Lory Poynor, Tracy Poynor, Jennifer Thomas, Teri Thomas Cluff, Kimberly Coon, Sundi March, Charles Henry, Kevin Thomas, Shane Terrell, Danny Thomas Jr., Joey Thomas, Julia Thomas, Eddie Lorne Green Green, Samantha Prox, Jacob Thomas, Aubrey Green, Serina Thomas, Shelby Ivey, Cheyenne Shamlin, Morgan Thomas, and Ty Thomas. 47 Great grandchildren and 17 great, great grandchildren and her best friend Maria Cooper. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Thomas, her children, Garland Ray, Scotty, Wayne, Kieth, and Billy, her grandchildren Jason and Ella Thomas.
