

Barbara Ann Lovett, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of Christ, went home to Jesus on July 29, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on June 18, 1936, in Perry, Iowa, Barbara moved to Phoenix area as a child with her parents Wesley and Mable Crusan and sister Shirley. Barbara also lived in Tucson from 1979 -1998 before returning to Peoria. She built friendship and community with her church and neighbors there as well. Barbara worked in the travel industry which allowed her to serve others and enjoy seeing many cultures of the world with her husband John.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, John H. Lovett, with whom she built a beautiful life filled with joy, deep devotion, and shared commitments and values. Together, they raised a family that continues to reflect Barbara’s gentle spirit and steadfast values.
Barbara’s legacy lives on through her children Stephen Lovett and his wife Linda (Shoop) Lovett, Karen (Lovett) Giebink and her husband Mark Giebink, Jeff Lovett and his wife Heidi (French) Lovett.
She was a proud and nurturing grandmother to eight grandchildren, Katie (Lovett) Cox, Sarah Lovett, Rachel Lovett, Daniel Giebink, Kelsey Giebink, Hope Giebink, Landon Lovett, and Bennett Lovett.
Her love extended to her four great-grandchildren, Micah Sidler, Atalie Webb, Calvin Cox, and Timothy Cox.
Barbara’s life was a reflection of commitment to Jesus, husband, family, church and friends.
She will be remembered for her gentle kindness, generosity, servant heart and, her devotion to her family, and her love for the Lord.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on August 12th at 10 am at West Resthaven, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. Visitation will precede on August 11 from 6-8 pm.
