Dearest Tata Ben, 

My heart is shattered as today I prepare my family to say goodbye to you. Had i known 2 days prior would have been the last time i would see you, share a meal with you, laugh with you and hugged you iI would have just held on a little tighter. There are truly no words that I can say that could express how much you were loved. I first want to give you the biggest thank you! Thank you for being the light of my tias life and for always showing her the most beautiful, raw, and unspoken love. Thank you for being there for my God children Zariah, Dominik & Sensi and for loving My cousin Feliz and Adam as your own. I'm going to miss your smile and us always laughing. Shooting the bull at dinner, shots of your favorite tequila and laughing so hard at Christmas time when you and tia get so competitive during white elephant.  

Thank you for being a blessing and someone my children admired. They will forever miss and cherish Tata Ben. Rest in paradise.

My cousin Ben was like a big brother to me.  Such a lovable person to many people.   When I was younger, and visit the Murillo's in Peoria, it seemed like he was always working, or doing something to help someone.  Ben, thank you for ALL you've done in your life.  Your work down here is done.  Now, go rest in the arms of Jesus.  We will all miss you.

The Covarrubias Family would like to share all of our love to Ben’s Children & family. I would also like to send love to my Tia Rose Valenzuela, his longtime partner and her children Feliz & husband Adam Garcia, their three children Zariah, Nico & Sensi. They fondly referred to Ben as Tata Ben. I remember seeing & speaking with Ben as he often attended Sensi’s Soccer Games, always with a supportive demeanor, encouragement, and sassy competitive cheer! He was truly a gift to everyone he came in contact with and he will be missed.  

Sorry for your loss Rose and your family.  You guys were together a long time...over ten years.   Glad to be a part of that all these years.  He will be missed.  I know he meant a lot to you and your family and it will be very hard to live without him.   Love you all!

We had so many fun times! I enjoyed watching Rose and Ben dance that big smile on his face and when Ben would greet you that big hug and smile on his face. Ben was very good to Rose and her family he loved them as his own. 
Rose and Ben spent so much time together they even worked side by side at his business always together! 
Rose, Please know that Ben loved you very much and during this time of mourning please think of the good times and how much he loved you and your family.
Rest in Peace peace Ben you will be missed.

Your father led a remarkable life. I’ll always have wonderful memories. Your father was so proud to have you as his beautiful daughters. I hope you can find some comfort in the love he had for all of us. I pray to the Almighty to bless all of us with much courage and love.

On further reflection on Ben’s untimely passing, I fondly remembered this past July of the celebration of Ben and Rose birthdays. We all started out at a pool party at AD Flores casa and later that evening some of us joined them both at Cactus Jacks for a toast to their blessed day. I quietly admire them both as they celebrated and danced up a storm for the two hours or so we were there. I believe Ben had a golf appointment the next morning. I had the privilege to hear Ben tell me his hilarious story on why he celebrates two birthdays. The way he described it set it up perfectly that had us both cracking up. His birthday was on July 19th but due to an error in I believe his Social Security file his birthday is erroneous listed a week to ten days later, so in essence he gets to celebrate with his love ones twice. Lol. I looked forward to hearing this every July going forward but now realize that I have a great memory to last until we all meet again🙏🏻

I will miss Ben and his funny sense of humor. His friendly smile and his loving spirit. I met Ben through our friend Mary Cruz and I thank her, for him being a my friend. To his family, I wish you all love and peace.

Tio Ben - I’m still hoping to wake up from this bad dream! I can’t believe that you’re gone. I have so many great memories of you.  All the nights I spent at your house hanging with my cousins. You treated me just like your own daughter. You even spanked me a few times when I got out of line LOL… I’m going to miss seeing that contagious smile. You were a loving, genuine, God-fearing, generous man and we are never going to be the same without you here. Say hi to Tio Sammy, Nana, and Tata for me!

It is hard to express the way I feel. Over the years  I have become part of your family. You are like a brother to me . I am gonna miss you.  Life will not be the same without you. The way we joked  And laughed. You will be in my heart forever. I love ❤️ you man.

Quería darle mis más sentidas condolencias por su pérdida. No puedo imaginar cuanto dolor y angustia deben estar sintiendo. Pocas cosas que uno diga pueden aliviar en éstas situaciones. Pero lo  que a mí me ayudó muchísimo es lo que me gustaría compartir con ustedes.
Entender por qué suceden éstas cosas y  que Dios no es el culpable de ellas me quitó el rencor y a la vez un grandísimo peso de encima. En realidad es todo lo contrario, Él nos dá una maravillosa esperanza de que vamos a poder abrazar y ver de nuevo a nuestros seres queridos que han muerto, ¿no le parece maravilloso que ésto vaya a suceder?
En el libro de Hechos capítulo 24 verso 15 ‘’Dios promete que va a haber una resurreción”, y lo que nos da la Biblia es una esperanza real, sólida y con fundamento. Otros textos que le pueden ayudar  Juan 5: 28,29 – Eclesiastes 5:9,10,  Job 14:14,15.
Sabemos que ese dolor tan intenso por la pérdida lleva su tiempo para que se suavice ya que  la persona deja un vacío difícil de llenar pero comprobará que  vivir con esperanza cambia la forma de ver y afrontar la vida.

I wanted to give him my heartfelt condolences for this loss. I can't imagine how much pain and anguish they must be feeling. Few things one says can alleviate in these situations. But what helped me a lot is what I would like to share with you.
 Understanding why these things happen and that God is not to blame for them took away my grudge and at the same time a great weight from my shoulders. Actually, it's the opposite, He gives us wonderful hope that we're going to be able to hug and see our loved ones who have died again, doesn't He think it's wonderful that this is going to happen?
In the book of Acts chapter 24 verse 15 "God promises that there will be a resurrection," and what the Bible gives us is a real, solid, well-founded hope.
 Other texts that can help you, John 5:28,29 – Ecclesiastes 5:9,10 – Job 14:14,15. I
