

Bouley, Bernice C., 84, of Surprise, was called home by the Lord on Good Friday to be reunited with her husband Bill. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side. Daughter of John and Mary McGuigan, she was born in Newark, NJ and raised in Harrison, NJ. Bernie graduated from Harrison High School and met the love of her life Bill; they married in Nov 1950. As a mother and the wife of a police officer, the family moved to Phoenix in 1963. She and Bill were active in Sts Simon and Jude Parish, being involved with numerous church events. Bernie retired from APS in 1990 after 15 years of service. Bernie enjoyed traveling with her family and her weekly card game with her Lunch Bunch friends. She loved games, puzzling, and the occasional trip to the casino. Above all, Bernie loved her family. She is survived by her brother William (Barbara); her children Barbara, Robert (Geri), William, John, Jeanne (Kevin), Nancy (Rick); and grandchildren Marissa, Megan, Sean, Jake, Amanda, Troy, and Brett. Bernie was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Harry, John, and Edward; and sisters Eileen and Rita. Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N 59th Ave, Glendale, on Friday April 5 from 5-7pm with a Rosary at 7. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 19002 N 128th Ave, Sun City West, AZ on Saturday at 10:00am. She will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
