Betty Victoria Williams

Betty was the youngest of 11. Betty accepted Christ at a very young age. Betty attended Erwin Elementary School and Swanton High School where she graduated.

Betty married Arthur Williams in 1954. Four children were born in this union. Betty moved to California in 1964. Betty worked in the aerospace field. Betty worked at Hughes Aircraft for 24 years and retired from Hughes in 1993.

Betty is preceded in death by her father Rev. Richard Ree Garner, her mother Bertha Lee (Kelly) Garner, her brothers: Bud Garner, Benny Garner, Samuel Garner, Earl Garner, and Edward Garner, and her sisters: Laura Haynes, Lela Mae Minor, Minnie Thompson, Bertha Stewart, and Maryion Head.

Betty leaves in mourning her 4 children: Betty L. Williams & Sandra of Adelanto, California, Samuel & Cynthia Williams of Tolleson, Arizona, Arthur & Cathy Williams of Victorville, California, and Carla & Hussein Al-Asmer of Glendale, Arizona. Her grandchildren: Corey Williams, Tamekia Neal, David Williams, Carla Jene’ Williams, Shannon Williams, Shannon Wolfe, Victoria Medina, Jarita Williams, Desiree Horner, Richard Williams, Jamileh Al-Asmer Deeb, Curnisha Wolfenberzer, Demetrius Thomas.

She also has 18 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, close family, and friends.

A visitation for Betty will be held Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.

Betty will be laid to rest in Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona.
