Blanche Marie Hove, a humorous, faithful, and adventurous soul, passed away on November 27, at the age of 101. She was born on August 8 in Running Lake, Arkansas, Blanche was the oldest of three children of Elza and Anna Osborn.
Blanche spent much of her life as a dedicated homemaker, lovingly caring for her family and home. She and her husband, Marlin "Bud" Hove, shared over 17 years of marriage before his passing. Together, they built a large family, including several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. Blanche cherished the opportunity to witness so many generations of her family.
In her personal life, Blanche, Bud, and her sister Lois loved traveling together. They owned an RV and would journey up the West Coast annually. One year, Blanche and Lois ventured south to visit Arkansas, where they grew up. Blanche also had a passion for crafting, maintaining a large craft closet where she created clothing and jewelry, always adding sparkle to her wardrobe.
Blanche was actively involved in her community, particularly with the Young At Heart Group at the Church of Christ. The group sang at local nursing homes and hospitals, spreading joy to those in need. She was a long-time member of the Church of Christ in Glendale, Arizona.
Blanche is survived by her grandsons, Duane Diderrich and Everett Diderrich; granddaughter, Nina Myers; son-in-law, Ron Prothero and Niece-in-law and Nephew Flora and Daniel Bowen.Blanche is also survived by her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Erma Prothero; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Robert Diderrich; daughter, Mary Ann Griffis; sons, Ronald and Donald Okamoto; and her beloved husband, Marlin "Bud" Hove.
Her legacy of love, humor, and adventure will be cherished by all who knew her.
