Cecelia Rose Costa

Cecelia Rose Costa our dearly-loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother returned to the Lord December 5th, 2011 at the age of 93. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 2, 1918. After high school, Cecelia completed some vocational classes and worked as a seamstress in a coat factory. Then in 1947, upon falling in love with Vincent Costa, she dedicated her life to creating a loving home as a wife and mother.

In her 93 years Cecelia, touched the hearts and lives of many people. Cecelia’s smile will be greatly missed by son Vincent (Gina), grandchildren Donna (Michael), Jennifer (Todd), Theresa (Greg) and Lisa, as well as 9 great-grandchildren, her extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 11, 2011 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, with a vigil starting at 7:00 PM, at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Avenue in Glendale, AZ 85301.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 3220 W. Greenway Road in Phoenix.

Cecelia will be laid to rest with her husband of over 60 years at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. To attend funeral services please join the processional leaving Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11:45 AM.
